Job Purpose
The Application Technologist provides support on all type of application work including developing innovative new food product concepts, evaluating new flavour profiles, and assisting our Key Account Managers in winning new business with Customer Presentations.

Responsibilities
Evaluations of flavours in applications for briefs, research projects and portfolio evaluations
Select optimal flavours for projects according to specified requirements (i.e. customer, regulatory, legislation, costs) and suggest improvements for the most common applications
Identify appropriate flavour delivery systems and technologies for customer projects in specific applications
Preparation for customer visits and industry exhibitions
Compounding of demonstration samples including applications of flavours in end applications
Assessing suitability of products
Liaison with both Technical and Sales team
Ensuring stock of raw materials is kept up to date
Actively maintain the flavour performance data for the flavour portfolio through evaluation in finished product and capture of profiles
Support in manufacturing flavour builds in production
Maintain a safe, clean and organised lab environment in accordance with EH&S policies

Qualifications
Maths and English GCSE graded A-C
Relevant Degree (desired)
Experience
Relevant demonstrable experience gained in a similar role
Previous experience in an applications technologist role
Capable of managing own workload and confident in liaising at all levels in the business
Knowledge and experience of a flavours processing or manufacturing environment
Previous experience of working within standards i.e. ISO, BRC

Key Account Manager - USA
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week

Job Purpose:
Omega Ingredients has been growing rapidly in the USA and is looking to hire an energetic, passionate flavor sales account manager to support their new client initiatives. This role will be responsible for building relationships with key flavor customers, identifying new prospects, and expanding Omega’s sales in the USA.

Responsibilities:
Identify new clients and opportunities.
Drive sustainable sales growth, while meeting margin and growth targets for your account portfolio.
Support client needs with excellent consultation skills, helping to find innovative solutions to technical challenges.
Establish and build client relationships with beverage and food manufacturers.
Assist with client’s regulatory needs and advise how they can best succeed in the clean label market.
Support Omega Ingredients’ new product and marketing initiatives within the USA.

Meet with customers via Zoom/Teams and in-person to discover opportunities.
Overnight travel is required for industry events and client visits as necessary - following appropriate safety guidelines as the world recovers from the pandemic.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of successful sales experience in the flavor or food ingredient industry.
Experience:
Compound flavor sales experience to beverage manufacturers
Business to Business sales experience selling flavors to Business to Consumer companies
Skills & Knowledge:
Flavor sales experience to beverage manufacturers
Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills with a strong desire to help clients solve their problems.
Able to work as part of a team to coordinate projects with key Team Omega personnel.
A self-starter that can manage their time, succeed while working remotely, prioritize, and lead initiatives under their own supervision and motivation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Project management experience a plus.

Production Operative

Job Purpose:
The Production Operative manufactures flavourings and extracts under the instruction and guidance of the Production Manager, adhering to quality and safety procedures always.
Effectively contributing to the achievement of the Omega Mission and Vision:

Ensuring the site, factory and its equipment is clean, tidy, and conforming to quality standards always.
Producing safe products to specification.
Continually working to reduce the Non-Conformances from the Factory and Warehouse and always maintaining production housekeeping.
Ensuring a safe working environment continuously and conforming to health and safety regulations (must be willing to undertake training to meet both food safety & health and safety legislation/requirements).
Manufacture flavourings and ingredients according to build instructions.
General warehouse duties.
Adhere to company policies.
Propose new ideas for improvement and suggest solutions to challenges.
Lifting and manual handling.

The Warehouse Operative supports the management of inbound and outbound goods under the instruction and guidance of the Production Manager, adhering to quality and safety procedures always

Accurately complete picking routines, and stock checks as required.
Accurately and safely prepare products for dispatch.
Support the management of inbound and outbound goods.
Confirm loads as complete and reporting any discrepancies.
Use of the Forklift Truck and other mechanical lifting equipment as required.
Ensuring the site, factory and its equipment is clean, tidy, and conforming to quality standards always.
Continually working to reduce the Non-Conformances from the Factory and Warehouse and always maintaining warehouse housekeeping.
