FLAVOURIST

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
This is an important acquisition for the business, the primary aim and responsibilities will be to develop winning flavours for Omega’s major international clients, local UK companies and start-up ventures.

The role will allow a great mixture of both Flavour and Product development working with a very strong Creative and Applications Team.
Reporting to the Creative Director and Master Flavourist your duties will include:
• Flavour Creation for all Industry Segments with a strong emphasis on Beverages both reactively and proactively.
• Maintain clear records of flavour formulations
• Supply relevant product information and raw material costings for finished formulae
• Keep up to date with new technology, ingredients and legislation
• Identify and evaluate new raw materials for possible use
• Work against clearly defined Customer and proactive projects
• Agree and meet project deadlines
• Assist the Sensory and CR department with technical information
• Provide Technical support to sales/marketing where required
• Build a strong network/work relationship within the Company
• Fully support the business targets and strategies
• Maximise sales and profitability of the Company
• Regular customer visits

KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER – Flavours & Food Ingredients

JOB PURPOSE:
To develop and maintain relationships with customers in the Food, Flavour and Fragrance sectors to ensure that products are marketed to meet sales targets and margins with this young and dynamic Food Ingredients business.

LOCATION:
Great Blakenham, UK

REPORTING LINE:
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To sell product portfolio to key customers to meet sales and profitability targets as set by the strategic plan.
• To contribute towards the development of the strategic plan to enable sales and profitability targets to be achieved.
• To assist in the preparation of customer’s sales budgets, forecasts, and margins.
• To arrange customer visits and build up strong relationships with buyers and product developers on a regular basis. This role will involve travel
and overnight stay away from home (approx. 60%)
• To continually develop own knowledge of product portfolio, including advantages and benefits in application to enable accurate response to
customer requests and projects
• To manage and track customer requests, including samples, projects, and quotations liaising internally with other departments to ensure a
timely and accurate submission.
• To share accurate sales, quotes and visit reports within defined timescales and circulate and share internally.
• To help create and support Marketing Campaigns to target clients in line with the strategic plan to ensure sales opportunities are maximised.
• To control selling prices to ensure delivery against volume and profitability targets.
• To share feedback on product, customer, competitor and market activities internally to help continually improve our performance.
• To undertake any reasonable duties assigned by the Directors related to the effective and efficient performance of the business using related
skills and ability
• To play an active role in the Operations Management Team

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
• Degree in Business / Life Science
• Commercial awareness

We have created the opportunity for 2 roles within our manufacturing and production department to join our team and develop skills in a specialist and unique environment.
